Service Pack For Windows Server 2008 R2 – I get a lot of questions about how to get all the hardware working in Windows Server 2008. Basically all Vista drivers should work. I will explain three methods how to get the required drivers and how to install them. You can use these methods for Windows Server 2008 as well as other versions of Windows.
1. The easiest way to get the drivers is to open the “Windows Update” application in Windows Vista / Server 2008 by clicking Start -> Control Panel -> Windows Update. In the upper left corner of the Windows Update window, click Check for updates and wait for the search to complete.

3. If (newer versions of) drivers are available, they will be listed here. Check the boxes if they are not already checked and click Install at the bottom right to install updates and device drivers if available. In my case there are no drivers available.
Migrate From Windows Server 2008 R2 (enterprise, Standard Or Foundation) To Windows Server 2012 R2 (essentials)
To visit the manufacturer for drivers, you first need to know information about the hardware that has not yet been installed. To view the drivers, you still need to open Server Manager
On Computer and click Manage. In Server Manager, expand Diagnostics and click Device Manager. Windows Device Manager probably won’t tell you much about unknown devices
1. To find out what the actual tool names are, first download and install Lavalys Everest Ultimate Edition tool from Lavalys website or download.com.
2. After installing Everest, launch the program. Now you can search for two things: the exact type of your motherboard (2a) and devices not yet installed (2b). It is best to install drivers for your motherboard first.

To see the exact type of your motherboard, expand Motherboard and click Motherboard to see its name. There is usually a url to go to the manufacturer’s product page for the motherboard. On this page, look for links such as Downloads/Drivers/Support and download drivers for Windows Vista.
To see which devices you haven’t installed yet, expand Devices and click Windows Devices for the devices you have attached to your motherboard. When you click on an unknown device, most times you will see the device name and manufacturer. Use your favorite search engine to find the manufacturer and/or device name and search for Windows Vista drivers. In this screenshot, I
3. After downloading the drivers, you can install them in two ways: automatically (3a) or manually (3b).
You can install drivers automatically by following the instructions and installation files in the driver package. Nothing more to say.

1. Sometimes installing drivers manually does not work because the installer is not packed in WinRAR readable compression (download from http://www.rarlabs.com/), but if possible, extract the driver package with WinRAR
2. Open Device Manager in Server Manager as described at the top of this page and
. Switch your view to the Driver tab and click Update Driver. (Here I’ve selected an already installed network card because I don’t have any non-installed devices, but the procedure is pretty much the same.)
3. Select Browse my computer for driver software if asked how to find driver software.

6. If the correct driver is found, it will be installed immediately. After the installation is complete, click the Close button. Your driver is now installed!

2. On the Detector Saw Configuration page, click Installation Automatic. When prompted to install the ActiveX control, accept the security warning by clicking Install.
3. In the MA-Config.com setup window, click Next. Select Standard as the installation type and click Next. Select the installation location and click Next again. Start the installation by clicking Install. After the setup is complete, click Done. Driver detection will start. – If driver detection fails, use this URL instead of the URL in step 1 to get it working. (At least it worked for me!) –

3. After discovery is complete, a list of devices will be displayed. If the drivers are available, click on Télécharger mes drivers with a magnifying glass in the next right corner (Download my drivers). On this page, you can download the drivers you want by clicking Télécharger behind the green arrow.
4. In the next window that opens, scroll down until you see the Téléchargement heading. Click on the picture of the hard drive and you will get your driver! You can now install them automatically or manually using the instructions in Method 2.
5. After all the drivers are installed, you can remove the ActiveX control by clicking Control Panel on the Start menu, opening Programs and Features, and double-clicking Ma-Config.com.
If the other three methods don’t work or you don’t want to try them, visit the http://www.driveragent.com/ website, click the Scan Now button, and install the plugin when prompted. Your computer hardware will now be checked to see if drivers are available for your specific operating system/architecture. The downside is that if there are drivers, you have to pay for the account to download the drivers. That’s why I included this as a last resort for driver issues.
